Ferlin functions fully featured
Ferlins are a fascinating class of proteins: multi-C2-domain proteins, tail-anchored proteins, and, when affected by mutation, responsible for muscular dystrophy (dysferlin), or deafness (otoferlin). Anna Bulankina (with minor contributions by Sven) has written what is probably the most comprehensive review about vertebrate ferlins with a focus on muscle ferlins and the mechanisms leading to disease. https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/32106631/
